I recently started working for a startup called Better Lesson http://www.betterlesson.org/ . They help teacher build lesson plans collaboratively, and share their material within their network!   I am their Senior Web developer.

I work with Ruby on Rails and PHP. This site has some examples of my web design work, as well as links to other interesting bits of information that I think will be helpful to other web designers and developers. This is an ongoing effort, we are finally getting some good CMS tools up and running.
